I cant quite believe some of the stuff on here, we absolutely ripped them a new one without our star man and after Tuesday and all that took out of them.

Granted the finishing was poor but how that constitutes the 'team choking' is beyond me, it perfectly illustrates the need for strikers of commensurate quality to the midfield.

Also, this next level bollox that I am reading on here - have we all turned 'Y' or stark raving mad? Sure we ran close but not close enough and if we have a season like this next, we really will have moved on - ffs, there is talk of top four next season, utter madness.

Pretty sure it's 2 rounds later, the stage as Soton came in last season. Will be some on here who will know for sure.

Didn’t realise, if we do get in the Europa it was a later start PD? thought it may have been the same as this season, may be better for us TBH, if it’s a home and away to get in the group stages that is, this seasons effort with results, towel throwing and all those sending’s off were something I never want to see West Ham do again, however much I enjoyed this season it doesn’t include that charade.

At least it's a couple of rounds down the road to where we entered last season. I assume we will just arrange less pre-season games, Sydders.

A very disappointing way to end the season, typical West Ham, still a very good chance of European football as ManU will be red hot favourites to win the FA Cup, just hope the club have learned from this season if it is an early start with those games in the Europa………….

Re: Stoke City v West Ham United - Official Match Thread FT 2-1
We had a lot to play for, Stoke had nothing to play for. They had been on a poor run of recent form, we were 1 up and dominating, their fans were booing then, what happens? We lose 2-1. Surely that's fucking ridiculous in anyone's book. So now instead of sitting in 5th we are 7th, we will be cheering the Manc's on in the FA Cup, and if they win we enter the EL on the 28th July istead of going straight into the group stages. A real shitl way to end a very good season, so very typical of West Ham.

We were poor when Valencia was suppose to help defend the corner . He just left him .he scored.

Still can't see how we lost today it was surreal.

As is Emenike.

I thought Randolph was poor again. Despite being decent in the cup, he's shipped way too many goals in the league. 8 goals in 3 matches is fucking awful.

Antonio our best player again. As well as scoring, he setup up some great opportunities. Sakho will be disappointed but I thought Given had a really good game.

Re: Stoke City v West Ham United - Official Match Thread FT 2-1
Can only echo the sentiments already posted, in that we absolutely dominated that game, and should have been out of sight by half-time. But with only Valencia and Emenike to come on up front, and Moses in the midfield, we didn't exactly have any inspiring options.

Those 3 must go. They add very little, although I do actually think that Emenike has been the best of the 3 overall. At least he works hard, sometimes gets himself in the right position and has had a couple of decent games. He's still a long way short of what we require to push on though.

After getting up at 5am on Sunday to watch the Blues get thumped by 40 points in the Super Rugby, and getting up at 2am this morning to watch us throw that away, I'm in a bad mood.

BUT, overall, I can't really complain too much about the season.

We were much the better team but were sloppy & inefficient. And a bit unlucky with balls off the line.
Showed that we need a better quality of striker & a right back but we knew that.
Every time a defender twisted out of the way of a ball like Tomkins trying to 'block' the first goal I'd have him in the next day practising the skill with Julian Dicks smacking balls at him from 5 yds

Stoke are fucking boring, out played for most of the game, fans not engaged or entertained, then they score and the fans wake up like they enjoyed it all after all and the players trundle off with 3 points in the bag and the manager gets to go to the press room like he's manager of the month.

Yes, Stoke are us under BFS.
